Frequently asked questions
Subscriptions & billing
How do I cancel my FormulaPulse Pro subscription?
Open iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → FormulaPulse → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I start the 7-day free trial?
Open the App and tap any Pro feature, or go to Settings → Upgrade to Pro. Select the Yearly plan and tap Start Free Trial. You'll see Apple's confirmation sheet with your Apple ID before any charge.
I'm not eligible for the free trial. Why?
Apple limits free trials to first-time subscribers of a given subscription group. If you previously had a FormulaPulse Pro subscription (monthly or yearly, including through a family member's Apple ID with sharing enabled), the trial won't be offered again. You can still subscribe monthly or yearly without the trial.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Open the App → Settings → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that made the original purchase.
I want a refund.
All App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com — we cannot issue refunds directly.
How much does Pro cost?
$2.99/month or $24.99/year (USD). Prices in other regions are set by Apple and shown in the App at the time of purchase.
Notifications
My session reminders aren't arriving.
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → FormulaPulse → Allow Notifications is on. In the App, open Settings → Notifications and confirm Qualifying, Sprint, Race, etc. are toggled on for the sessions you want. If notifications were recently enabled, give the system up to an hour to sync.
How do I turn off notifications for a specific session type?
App → Settings → Notifications → toggle off the session types you don't want reminders for.
Apple Watch
The Watch app shows a lock screen.
Apple Watch access is part of FormulaPulse Pro. Tap Open on iPhone from the Watch to go straight to the paywall. Once you subscribe, the Watch app will unlock automatically the next time your Watch and iPhone sync.
My saved articles aren't syncing to the Watch.
Make sure your Watch is paired, the FormulaPulse Watch app is installed, and both devices are on the latest OS version. Open the App on your iPhone to trigger a sync. If the problem persists, email us.
Privacy & ads
How do I change my ad consent (EEA / UK / Switzerland)?
App → Settings → Manage Ad Preferences. This reopens Google's consent form so you can update your choices.
How do I turn off ad tracking?
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off Allow for FormulaPulse. You'll still see ads in the free tier, but they won't be personalized.
Why am I seeing ads?
The free tier is ad-supported. Pro subscribers never see ads.
Data
How do I delete my data?
Uninstalling the App removes all on-device data (saved articles, favorites, cache, preferences). To also remove your push-notification token from our server, email us before uninstalling and we'll purge it immediately — otherwise, Apple will invalidate the token automatically and we'll purge it on receipt of feedback.
Does FormulaPulse show live timing?
FormulaPulse aggregates publicly available data on a best-effort basis and is not an official timing source. Results may be delayed.
Troubleshooting
Images aren't loading.
Check your connection. If you're on a network with strict ad-blocking or content filtering (some school, work, or router-level DNS filters), driver photos and news thumbnails hosted on third-party CDNs may be blocked. Try switching to cellular to confirm.
The App crashed or is behaving strangely.
Force-quit and reopen. If the issue persists, try restarting your device. If it still happens, email us with your device model, iOS version, and a description of what you were doing.
