Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and CarbonCode ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Tomas Ramirez as a sole proprietor, governing your use of the UsagePro for Claude macOS application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using UsagePro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The App

UsagePro for Claude is a menu bar and Dock app for macOS that shows your own Claude subscription usage: your limits, when they reset, and a history of your usage that the App records on your Mac. It signs in to claude.ai with your account and reads your usage from claude.ai. The App is a monitoring aid. It does not change your plan or your limits and cannot stop you from reaching one.

UsagePro is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use the App. You also need a Claude account with a subscription and a Mac running macOS 14 or later.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable, non-exclusive license to install and use UsagePro on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"). The Apple EULA is incorporated by reference and, in the event of conflict with these Terms, these Terms prevail except where the Apple EULA protects end users more strongly.

4. Free trial and Full Unlock — one-time purchase

4.1 Free trial

UsagePro includes a free trial of 7 days with everything unlocked. Before the trial starts, the App tells you how long it lasts, what locks when it ends, and what Full Unlock costs. The trial begins when you choose to start it in the App and runs for 7 × 24 hours from that moment. No payment is needed to start it.

The trial start date is stored in your Mac's Keychain, so deleting and reinstalling the App does not restart the trial.

4.2 When the trial ends

When the trial ends, the whole App locks: the dashboard, the menu bar figures, history, and alerts all stop until you buy Full Unlock. Nothing is deleted. Your sign-in and your local history stay in place, and the App resumes when you unlock. You can still sign out while the App is locked.

4.3 What Full Unlock does

Full Unlock removes the lock and unlocks the entire App. It is a non-consumable, one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID. It is not a subscription, and there is no recurring charge.

4.4 Payment

All purchases are processed by Apple via the Mac App Store and billed to your Apple ID. CarbonCode does not receive or store your payment information.

4.5 Restoring purchases

To restore Full Unlock on a new Mac or after reinstalling the App, use the Restore Purchases option within the App. You must be signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

4.6 Refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law or at Apple's discretion. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. CarbonCode cannot issue refunds directly.

4.7 Changes to pricing

The price of Full Unlock may change over time. Changes apply only to future purchases and do not affect purchases already made.

5. Independence from Anthropic and reliance on claude.ai

UsagePro depends on claude.ai's undocumented interfaces. It reads your usage from private endpoints that claude.ai's own web app uses. Anthropic does not document these for third-party use and can change or remove them at any time, without notice to us or to you. If that happens, the App may show incomplete or outdated figures, show errors, or stop working until it is updated. We cannot guarantee that it will keep working.

The figures the App shows are what claude.ai reported when the App last refreshed, and for history, what the App recorded. They are informational and may lag, differ from what claude.ai shows, or be wrong if Anthropic changes how usage is reported. Do not treat them as a guarantee of how much of a limit you have left.

Your Claude account and subscription, and your use of claude.ai, are governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by these Terms. You are responsible for your own use of your account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App except as permitted by law.
• Use the App for unlawful purposes.
• Use the App to access a Claude account that is not yours.
• Circumvent or interfere with the trial or the Full Unlock purchase gating.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its code, design, and layout, is the property of CarbonCode and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Claude, Anthropic, and related names and marks belong to Anthropic, PBC. They are used in the App and on this site only to identify the service the App works with.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT USAGE FIGURES WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL CONTINUE TO WORK WITH CLAUDE.AI.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARBONCODE AND TOMAS RAMIREZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, PROPERTY, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS RESULTS. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $25.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CarbonCode and Tomas Ramirez from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the App or its results.

11. Third-party beneficiary

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you. You acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 8, 9, 10, 13, and 14) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
